Wilson Audio is all set to impress the audiophiles with its new Maxx Series 3 speaker system, which is an update to the very famous Maxx Series 2. The MAXX Series 3, also called the MAXX Cubed, is as simple to set up and place in a room as its predecessor. What I like the most about the MAXX series speaker systems is their unique design that looks more like a robot’s leg instead of a music system. The main objective behind the creation of Series 3 was to improve MAXX’s time-domain performance. For the same, the Wilson design team divided the single upper module into two discrete units and used Aspherical Propagation Delay. They also included a new midrange driver developed for Alexandria Series 2. New crossovers were designed to get the best out of the new driver. A unique blend of proprietary cellulose fibers was chosen to address the design challenge of a highly rigid but low moving mass cone.

At the upcoming London manuscripts sale on July 7, auction house Sotheby’s will be offering an ancient biblical manuscript that is expected to fetch $1 million. The 1,500-year-old biblical document features layers of text and meaning in three different languages. This hidden record of Christ’s words is called the Codex Climaci Rescriptus, and was written over the span of three centuries. The ancient manuscript was kept in a sacred monastery before it got into the hands of British twins through local Egyptian dealers. The codex dates back to the 6th century, the time when Christian Palestinian scribes wrote down the words of Christ in Aramaic. Aramic is the language that’s said to resemble the dialect spoken by Jesus Christ. The manuscript has the words that were sopekn by the messiah himself when he was on the cross - Eli Eli, lema sabachthani (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?). The biblical document includes pieces of the Old and New Testaments in both Aramaic and Greek.

Originally designed in 2008, this men’s racing bicycle features a sleek steel frame and fenders, aluminum handlebars and a Brooks’ saddle leather seat. Remember, we asked you to send us questions for Matt Mullenweg? We were flooded with questions from our readers for the WordPress founder, and so swamped was Matt in launching new WordPress applications besides loads of other stuff, that we thought he certainly deserves some more time to finish the questionnaire. But the wait is finally over and we are here with Matt’s answers so, enjoy!

1. Paul: The internet as a whole – is it able to satisfy an average user’s appetite for discovery?

Matt: The biggest problem now isn’t discovery which search engines have solved, or amount of content which CMSes like WordPress have solved, but filtering. Google in the future will be like a completely different search engine for every person using it, and its relevancy will be weighted by what we do online and more importantly what our friends and contacts do.

In the month of June every year, about 200 woody cars participate at an event called Woodies On the Wharf in Santa Cruz. This year, the Woodies on the Wharf was held on Saturday, June 27 and there were over 200 wooden-bodied cars from as far away as British Columbia. After looking at the woody cars from the 2008 Woodies on the Wharf event, I must say that every car showcased at the event is an ultimate collectible car. These old woody cars are a real beauty to look at. A woody is type of a car with rear portion of the bodywork made of wood. The wood is covered in a clear varnish, either over the entire wooden area or only on the framework. In Europe, early woodies were by and large built on luxury car platforms, such as Rolls-Royce. Anyway, the woodies have been produced from all kinds of cars. Pricing for a woodie usually starts at $50,000 and goes as high as $200,000. Hit the jump to see some of the woody cars from the last year’s event.
