Custom built or built to order concepts and products are what keeps Neiman Marcus soaring high on popularity, and their list of interesting themes never seems to end. This time around, they have hired the services of the renowned LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya, to offer a full-scale model of any individual, who chooses to see himself modulated as a LEGO. You would have to furnish the order with Neiman Marcus with some of your pics (Nathan prefers 16, 8 of the body and 8 of the head, all 360 degrees) and your emulation would be ready within some time. The only problem is that you would have to part with $60,000 of your hard-earned dough. For the ones who do not mind that, it isn’t that bad an offering!

Tantalizingly made for security-seeking wealthy folks, this anti-ballistic polo shirt takes safety to an altogether new level! With many wealthy people normally on the hit-lists of gruesome militias, this polo shirt from Caballero is something which just ups the security factor. Caballero has people as high-profile as Hugo Chavez on the client list just to elaborate on the fact that this offering is a top-notch product. The polo shirt is good enough to protect you from a 9mm pistol, and if fiber is what you are worried about, there is hardly a cloth that betters linen. For the people who hope to get lucky someday, this should go right atop the apparently fancied list of things they wish to possess. You can just look cool and causal in this polo shirt with no fear of a bullet jamming your breath forever, a little bit of the Superman feel, yes! Spending $12,000 for this shirt is definitely a lavishly wise choice.

Destiny is a strange thing, and although we people always offer prayers to mostly achieve what we desire, we only get what the destiny confers. This ewer you see above would have gone under the hammer for mere peanuts considering what it fetched now, but it was not to be, and it eventually got what it deserved. While Sotheby’s had thought of selling it off as some French Claret Jug for some 350 odd dollars, it eventually went under the hammer at a staggering $5.6 million in a auction sponsored by Christie’s. It was clearly a case of mistaken identity, for it eventually was discovered to be a 1000-year-old ewer from the Fatimid dynasty - a clan that ruled a major part of Africa for four generations. It was the downfall of this dynasty that made them sell all their valuables to keep the finances going. It is beyond doubt that it is ones of the finest pieces of Islamic artifacts, and those carvings of the cheetah and that slim neck are a virtual proof. Carved out of a single piece of rock, this ewer has six more cousins around the globe.

Bathtubs aren’t about ample space and inviting water anymore—it has more to do with flaunting style than just usability. Imagine entering a bathroom with a Swarovski-crystal-studded bathtub. You would give it a real glare before sinking in. The next thing you would do is to go inquiring about the maker, but you would be disgusted not to find any relevant information anywhere. It is here where our information would turn valuable, for only we would tell you that it is the Teuco Swarovski Bathtub that will not be found in any of those windows on the high-end streets. You could only have them made to order from the people over Teuco, for a “hopefully” shrieking price. All this apart, we still do not think that the pricing would pose any serious threat to that of the Teti Malachite Baldi Bathtub.

Possessions that have been touched by gold will always be desirable, and the more you gain on the economic side, the more you tend to realize it. Golden speakers that exude opulence from Goccia are one such possession you would definitely think of, when even a pocket-drilling attempt wouldn’t be a bother. It is just great to realize that there is something on offer that deciphers the sound of your favorite numbers while adorning a golden frame. Not just that, you would feel even more special, for these speakers are a limited edition product with each one of them numbered to signify the rarity. Enough has been done on the research side to make them look convincing in any kind of an environment, making them potent to add to that plush aura. You can hang them from a ceiling and drop them down from some wall depending on your décor sense. We don’t have the pricing available, and even if we did, it would have been a dilemma to reveal it, for such things are best touted invaluable.

Spending lavishly is one thing, but spending wisely on a lavish thing is what helps you in the long run. One day you will be rich, and it is this habit which would make you smart at the same time. Here is a custom-built poker table by Mark Lackley that has been completed on order for an astounding price of $16,000, and this is exactly what wise spending is all about. You could pick up a table from any high-end store for the same price, but it won’t give you the satisfaction of possessing what you had in your brain. Compared to the conventional ones, it is no less, for it has been done in poplar wood and then polished in black lacquer. The combination of steel with the wood and lacquer is what gives this table that luxurious impulse. To complete the package it even entails side out drink holders capable of holding an entire set of poker chips.

Surely, a commoner like me and thousands of those who read this blog would never deny the opportunity of wearing attire that is valued at a million dollars. You wouldn’t refuse if you were chosen to be the first and the last one to wear it, would you? So, you can easily understand how Amber Peebles, a TV presenter, felt, wearing a dress that was valued at $1 million! The dress was made out of 200 casino chips, valued at $5,000 each - no wonder it’s so expensive! It was a good marketing ploy that got the Sky City Festival of Poker a lot of publicity all over the world. If not for the game, people must surely have flocked to the festival to have a look at the dress.

Hey, people! Continental Mobiles is back again, and this time their Midas touch has blessed the Nokia E71. We still haven’t finished admiring the Nokia 8800, which was cast in gold, almost a week before, and here we have another of their beautiful creations. The E71 has been deprived of diamonds and crystals, making the act purely Midas-like, with a 24k finishing throughout the phone. Along with the QWERTY keyboard, the software-loaded phone is a pure delight. We couldn’t have thought of any other name to get the job done and Continental Mobiles has lived up to our expectations. Now, we do not want to put a dampener on the excitement by discussing the price, but for those who seriously want to get their hands on this golden beauty, the phone is priced at $1400.

This era recognizes the brand Bugatti as a charismatic car that boasts of fearsome performance and speed. Ever wonder how reputed a Bugatti was, before the First World War? It drew the same respect as it draws now, and a legitimate proof of this fact is a 1928 Type 35B Bugatti, which fetched £2.5 million in an auction in Britain. This sale makes it the most expensive car sold in its category to date. Luckily, the vintage road racer was saved from the wrath of the First World War, and neither did it go under any sort of trimming scissors. No wonder then that it managed to get sold for such a whopping amount eight decades later. The fact that this car was modeled by Ettore Bugatti is good enough to know what a marvel this car has been for over such a long period, and that may be the reason why the churning machine on the inside still manages to produce a roar!

For decades, denim trousers have been the most preferred piece of clothing for the rich and the poor alike. However, these exceptional, designer edition denim jeans come heftily priced at $250,000 each, and are certainly aimed at the well-heeled with their 18 carat gold, colorful diamonds and ruby studded wallet chains. Dussault has teamed up with Bloodline Design’s Malcolm Norman to present two such tailor-made pairs. Both the denims are distinctively designed. While one dazzles with a ruby-studded Marquis Rose gold wallet chain, the other is jazzed up with a diamond-studded white gold wallet chain. Folks who intend to take a closer look at the duo can check out the $10,000 prototype versions at Kustom in New York or at the Dussault flagship store in Los Angeles.

If you do not really have a new cognac, brewed to impress admirers of the sumptuous drink, you can always tamper with the casing to keep them hooked. And if you want a praiseworthy casing then you will have to replace the regular bottle makers with professional designers. The hiring of designers to keep the brand going is a proven way of keeping the interest on. A limited edition tag also achieves the same. This is exactly what the people over at Louis XIII have done by hiring Christophe Pilet’s services. The result is a limited edition collection that houses the cognac in a stylized decanter, accompanied by a crystal glass, a serving platter, a crystal candle holder and even a display case. I am sure that cognac lovers will only feel elated at the stylish baggage that comes with this high quality cognac!

If you can’t get your feet muddy, “simulate it” seems to be the motto of the guys behind Golfotron, a golf simulator. Many times you must have avoided hitting the golf course either because it was too sunny, or rainy, or well, you weren’t up to driving to the course. The Golfotron Golf Simulator is an awesome way to enjoy the game and would suit anyone who is looking for a quiet, non-disturbing and, of course, realistic and capable indoor golf simulator. The simulator is powered by Sports-Coach Systems and comes with the latest GPS 3D CustomPlay Program. Thanks to the camera located in the rear, you can see the ball traveling down the fairway, and it comes with a host of software and hardware.

If I say Roman Abramovich has thrown in $400 million to build a personal yacht, you would probably imagine him to be some billionaire with ample money to do it. Therefore, the name of the club he owns - Chelsea - has to come in, to make him a more familiar name, at least to those who follow European football religiously. Abramovich, apparently has a fortune worth $23.5 billion, which means the amount he is spending on his personal yacht, the Eclipse is mere peanuts. This exclusive yacht will dwarf every other yacht anchored in its vicinity and will come equipped with a missile detection system, endowing it with a full-proof security system. In case the missile detection system is not enough security, the yacht will also have a submarine for two. Being rich is all about lavishness; Abramovich sure understands that, and so do “we”!

Addictive. Perhaps, this is the best word to describe Dark Roasted Blend. Although pitched as a coffee-break ritual, DRB would certainly take on all...
