Taking control of a starship has always fascinated us as kids in dreams and as adults, well, I lost interest long ago. However, when you have a look at the USS Galileo simulator, it would definitely reclaim your nerdy side that you used to be in the high school. The USS Galileo is a space ship simulator, complete with stations, networking, speakers, a main viewscreen and everything a futuristic starship should have. Built by the Space Education Center, it is being placed at the current bid of $1000.

Whew! Though Christmas decorations are traditionally taken down and put away for another year, this one can stay there for many years to come. Just to give you an idea of what this bauble is made of, consider the $136,000 price tag first. The one-of-a-kind tree decoration is made of 18-carat white gold and is plastered with over one and half thousand stunning diamonds. Surrounded by two incredible rings made of 18-carat fat gold wire, it features 188 red rubies that took a year to complete the designing and manufacturing. It was dreamed up by 38-year-old Mark Hussey, the owner of 30-year-old family business, Hallmark Jewelers. It is not always that we can express things like these in words but you gotta see it yourself to believe it.

The new Curvi speakers are definitely unique in terms of their unconventional design by keeping in mind both acoustic and aesthetic innovation. Inspired by the human form, the sensuously curved absorbent free-flow transmission line provides the single E J Jordan full range drive unit with a near-ideal acoustic load with low frequencies being bolstered by the port output. The laminated plywood cabinet ensures rapid energy dissipation and hence enables the excellent impulse response of the drive unit to be cleanly delivered. While the price per pair is £3995, it’s no wonder that Curvi offers coherence in sound quality, which provides the joviality and aural stimulus of a live musical performance.

Although the recession has slowed the sale of designer watches, Swiss watchmaker Christophe Golay strongly believes that there is still a strong demand for high-end watches for those who can afford them. And that explains the launch of the company’s $350,000 ultra-luxurious watch into the U.S. market. The new line of high-end watches from Cephee combines Swiss craftsmanship with hi-tech engineering. The first watch to be introduced under the new Cephee brand is “Ether” that features over 150 precision set baguette diamonds, with an invisible channel setting that allows each stone to reflect all the light that it absorbs. The hands of the watch are fashioned of a delicate blue tinted sapphire called colored spinel, and the straps are handmade of the softest supple leather with a hand-crafted diamond buckle. Cephee manufactures every aspect of these watches in their own workshop in Geneva. This limited edition watch is priced at $350,000.
