French designer Kossi Aguessy gives a new look to Chef Pierre Negreverne’s “2″ wine collection. Extending the simplicity from his cuisines, Pierre Negreverne’s wine also makes for a “simple and up to the purpose wine”. The collection is the result of six months of breeding a vintage guard wine that mixes the aromas of raspberry, cherries and the depth of the cinnamon. To make it look exceptional is the work of Aguessy who, manages to bond traditional materials, such as African brown Makassar wood with corian and the modern form for a very traditional product such as wine. An aura of pure luxury surrounds the elegance. Its harmonious shape and a brilliant blend of the traditional with the future makes this design immediately appealing to both the eye and the hand. Of course, it is a product that will stand out and is definitely “a product to be.”

We are here with the answers to all your tech queries from Ryan Block. So, check out Ryan’s thoughts on Windows 7, Droid, gdgt’s future and much more.

1). Joe: With so much product specific information and community contribution, are you planning to build gdgt a sort of Wikipedia for gadgets?

Ryan:
I guess we’ll see! We created gdgt to be a social platform for gadgets and gadget users — we’ve added a lot of structure, but at a certain level gdgt doesn’t exist without people using it, plugging in new data and products, and telling us what they want us to do. I’m really excited about how active and engaged the community has been thus far, though.

2). Graham: Ryan, were you able to try Windows 7? What’s your take? Are you impressed?

While airlines seek the reputation of having the finest passenger services, it’s becoming increasingly tough for them to choose between more space and more seats. However, Design Q has introduced the “MaxCabin” that will replace conventional seat rows with a military style face-to-face seating arrangement. Well, it might sound like too much exposure with the surroundings but Design Q has bought a line from “other types of transport, buses, trains including VIP jets” that also has benefits for passengers like faster and safer boarding and exit. Hopefully this seating model has enough space for privacy apart from more space for passengers.

One of the coolest billiard tables you’ll ever lay your eyes on is the unique black walnut billiard table by Orne & Sons Ltd. This masterpiece priced at $1.7 million was commissioned for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee Exhibition in Manchester in 1887. The kind of attention paid to details has never been seen before on any billiard table. Talking history through its beautifully carved surface, the table has references to the industrial growth and cultural developments of the British Empire’s Golden Age. The cushions are decorated with ribbons of quotations from Victorian novelists like Shakespeare, Tennyson, Scott and Byron and the panels depict numerous countries through allegory, flora, fauna and industry including carved portraits of Normandy, Henry I, Henry II, Henry III, Edward I, Edward II, Edward II, Edward IV, Elizabeth of York, James I and Charles I above each leg. With the table comes the matching cupboard, which can be rotated to form a scoreboard, shaped as a door carved with seven panels depicting her highness’s most important stages in the reign. The table is for sale at Harrods.

Sotheby’s auction house has sold a rare miniature portrait of the 18th century Russian Czar, Peter the Great, in a diamond-encrusted frame. An Arizona family owned the miniature portrait in a diamond-encrusted frame for decades before they learned of its historic importance. Purchased in 1951 from a London dealer, the family has auctioned it for $1.3 million. Believed to be one of the 10 bejeweled miniatures bestowed by Peter the Great on his subjects, it depicts the czar in a blue cape and a sash in 3 1/2-inch-high oval portrait hanging from an imperial crown.

Rumors aside, the owner of the world’s largest yacht is hedge fund manager Elena Ambrosiadou. There have been all kinds of rumors about the buyer and the sale price but Yacht Pals has disclosed the deal, believed to be worth $120 million. Ms. Ambrosiadou is the humble owner who prefers to call herself the “caretaker” of Mr. Perkins’ 289 foot luxurious boat fitted with the sophisticated sail system. The boat has a crew of 18 with six guest cabins, eight crew cabins, a gym and a sculpture of a vintage Bugatti racing car and on top of it a mini-submarine. The Maltese Falcon’s interior is as luxurious as you’d expect and I am sure it’s enough to call it the world’s largest and most luxurious sailing yacht, and that too with an owner.

All things are crafted in rotten teak planks and the natural wood cavities are then filled with an LED light inside and glued with clear epoxy to give that cool lighting effect. We did a round-up of the best multimedia chairs a while ago. Though those were some of the finest chairs on the market, we have also seen a whole lot of concept chairs that features enough multimedia features on board for relaxing in solitude. Industrial designer Martin Emila’s ergonomic Media chair is another concept we would love to see turn real, owing to its arresting pod-like shape and seamlessly integrated iPod dock. The chair is crafted from a hard plastic shell with four telescopic adjustable legs that complete its extraterrestrial looks. The desired comfort is achieved with a soft foam insert into the shell, covered with leather or desired fabric adorning different colors or patterns. The headrest features a built-in 3-way speaker for surround sound and on the outer left side is placed a compact projector for video projections. The sumptuous design is perfectly complemented with state-of-the-art electronics which makes it unrivaled in terms of choice, only if it is real!!

Catch more amazing shots in the Gallery.

Thanks, Martin!
