Here’s Nicole in her own words: I started blogging for Luxist, following in the designer footsteps of my friend and the Deidre Woollard, almost a year ago. It was a pretty natural transition from blogging exclusively about food, which I do on Slashfood and bakingsheet , because I already spent a huge amount of time shopping for and testing various kitchen gadgets on top of my interest in luxe things in general. Now, I write about everything from fast food to fast cars, depending on which blog I’m working on - and I love it all.

The blog was launched for the site to keep people up to date with the products that were reviewed. To spice things up, some of the posts were about unique gadgets.

After immersing himself in the gadget world at Sound & Vision magazine for six years, Peter joined SCI FI in 2005.
