Matt is our Cool Geek of this Week, a title which apparently would be considered inherent as he’s already wearing the crown of being amongst Business Week’s 25 most influential people on web. Matt was associated with CNET Networks before starting Automattic, and bringing in Wordpress, Gravatar, Akismet, IntenseDebate, bbPress, and BuddyPress under its umbrella. He is also associated with Sphere, WeGame, Rescuetime, and Foodzie.

Lisa Katayama, the lady geek who defies the general belief that female bloggers are not treated as nicely as their male counterparts even on the internet - is flaunting our Cool Geek crown this time. Yes, this Japanese pro blogger is the one who constantly gives you your daily dose of all things Japanese @Tokyo Mango – ok, we better shut-up; she doesn’t needs an introduction. Lisa was born and raised in the birth city of Godzilla, however, is currently holding her basecamp in San Francisco. She is also associated with Boing Boing Gadgets and contributes to a number of top-notch magazines including Wired, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Popular Science, NYT Magazine, and io9.

Laura Sweet, "The Oprah of the Internet" is our Cool Geek of this Week. Frankly, the more we know about her through reflections from her blog Ifitshipitshere, her contributions as an Expert Maven at ThisNext and her overall portfolio; it always seems that it's just a tip of a never-melting iceberg.
