1. Naveen: Zola, there are blogs like Luxist, Janus Thinking, and many others covering the best/interesting stuff on the net. How is EliteChoice different? Why should one drop in here?

Zola: Challenging question! Naveen, this was the foremost question that I asked myself before initiating the present form of elitechoice. And the answer was it has to be the cream of the crop. With plus and minuses involved, I took a step beyond the prevalent definition of ‘elite’ and put my foot down towards making it a destination covering valuable news, views and of course products irrespective of price (as in not priority. The exercise of handpicking of the news worthy to reside here depends upon my judgment of post-peg demand amongst my audience. Furthermore, it has to have a level of warmth, utility, desirability and curiosity embedded in it.
The posts visible on my blog make its reach on its own towards right ears. And the result is welcoming response from my readers and fellow bloggers. Must confess, the very feeling behaves no less than an enriching pill. And your question how is EliteChoice different very well clears my doubt of its standing away from the myriad of existing pool of blogs covering similar niche segment. Readers, kindly answer why you drop in here……to me it seems their obvious reply would be its irresistible! This is what once one of the blog-worm told me who considers it as a replacement of print paper, if searching for what’s new in the market! Also, the boatload of e-mail queries and requests satiates my appetite for winning results in return of my religious time invested here.

2. Tony: you write on luxury gadgets, we would like to know about 5 of your most outrageous gadget purchases or temptations?

Zola: Direct Question! Lately I put my fingers upon Apple’s MacBook Air, my lively obsession (not toooooo pricey but feel is priceless).
Remaining Four:
Tulip E-Go Laptop ($336,557)
Clearaudio statement turntable ($100,000)
Vertu Signature Diamond Phone ($41000)
Kodak V570 Camera ($20,000)

3. Raluca: om Blogging what all you love doing? Also, how many hours do you spend digging the net?

Zola: Exploratory question! Reading, Reading and Reading! My strategy is very clear: the more one read, the more knowledge he grasps, thus remarkable deliverables. Hours I devote to blogging could be as long as 25 hours in a day (I know how to manage an extra hour) and/or five-hours during odd days. Not all is devoted towards writing but crucial time is spent upon research and development of a product. I somehow manage to extract time for partying and freaking out with my gang. Travelling always stay on the sked.

4. Nandini: Who do you think is the “Sexiest Geek Alive”?

Zola: Controversial question! It would not only raise the eyebrows of interviewer but interviewee as well. And fortunately I have a justification to my argument. I believe geeks should not be considered as sex symbols. Rather the geeky lot falls in the category of people who are blessed with brains to be applied towards producing great creations and not mere looks dedicated towards practicing social skills and earning popularity. So, the whole concept doesn’t make any sense to me.

I can recall in 2001 Ellen Spertus, a faculty at Mills College in California was crowned with the second-ever Sexiest Geek Alive. I think she deserves that award as the core of the completion was “brains not beauty” and not very likely “beauty with brains”. Must-say she is a perfect combo of geeky and non-geeky skills.

5. Vikas: Where do you see EliteChoice in next few years?

Zola: Big question! I wish I could answer this by measuring its magnitude..lolz. I am determined to carve new heights, ultimate mediums and unrestricted reach for elitechoice. All I can say for now is am speechless. So wait and watch!

6. Gina: How do you select and decide about the topics you’ve to write on? What’s your criteria for Elite?

Zola: Contemplative question! The nature of the product helps me determine its abode here. The ball-rolling of the selection for creditable post-peg initiates from Google-search followed by savvy blogs (smilingly bornrich is one amongst those). A deserving consideration is also being laid upon requisitions received via email and then the end-product comes before your eyes. Priority is given to newly-launched products (gadgets and sundry) but should be elite in class.

7. Cory O’Brien: If you could change one thing about your blog, what would it be? Also: What inspires you to keep blogging?

Zola:Tough question! Cory O’Brien, the very thought put me under thinking mode for a while. Still thinking......Not that I think its complete but right kind insertion of features doesn’t leave any space for me to change or replace. Yah, I think there is one. It would be the change in version of domain name from elitechoice to. com. Else, can’t think of anything for now. My great inspiration behind blogging especially at elitechoice is my love (would-be partner) whom I call smilingly as “D” or “MY D”. It is he who made me realize my worth in terms of making name at blogosphere. Without him, am sure elitechoice would have been either an unbooked or any ordinary product-based site. So, all my savvy readers should thank him as well for elitechoice growing umbrella vision. Together we spent good long hours turned into months to experiment with its possibilities that can be carved out considering our desires and readers requirement. It proved to be a successful journey till now but guys wish us luck for our future endeavors!

8. Your views on BornRich & Instablogs Community?

Zola: Enlightening Question! Bornrich is a breathing blog that maintains its integrity by bringing forward a fresh piece of news every single day. With remarkable features populating the platform, I cannot afford to stay away but to make a routine-visit here.
To be honest, I am not the right person to comment upon Instablogs community as I hardly visit it. My core sources are of bit different nature. But all I can say is that it’s an exciting business model.
