WowWee will be exhibiting two new robots dubbed Rovio and Mr Personality at CES 2008. The slick, beetle-like Rovio could be controlled from any internet-enabled device (mobile phone, PC or video game console) with the help of its WiFi b/g hookup. It comes with a built-in movable VGA webcam complete with sound and is able to stream live footage across the network to wherever you are in the world. It also boasts NorthStar navigation and positioning onboard to avoid obstacles in its pathway. LED lights help it to make its way in the dark. On the other hand, Mr Personality is a personal humorous robot, which uses animated faces coordinated with jokes, daily horoscopes and crystal ball predictions. It’s also blessed with obstacle detection capability and warns the owner is it’s getting out of juice. You can increase its 64MB of built-in memory with SD memory cards. The on-board microphone helps you to record voice memos.
