If you think Rising Sun and Octopus are the largest yacht the world has ever seen, then you need to be updated! The World’s largest yacht is Platinum 525, owned by a statesman, the Crown Prince of Dubai. The 525 feet vessel is also popularly known as Dubai or Goldenstar. The astounding yacht, even larger then a Royal Navy destroyer was originally commissioned in 1996 by Prince Jefri Bolkiah, the younger brother to the Sultan of Brunei and was later on sold to Shekh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.



The luxurious yacht is made by Lurssen in collaboration with Blohm and Voss yards. The yacht is estimated to be of more than $300 million and is rumored to feature its own submarine, no wonders!!! The yacht features enormous luxurious amenities including a heli-pad on the bow and on the upper aft-deck, with dedicated observation rooms for each. The yacht has a minimum of two master staterooms with additional five-plus VIP suites, large exterior seating space on both fore and aft. The Bridge deck includes the captain’s quarters along with a dedicated lounge and office. The number of guest staterooms is still undisclosed, but its the Platinum is likely to feature an enormous foyer and atrium, connecting each deck with illumination via a skylight above.



The interior of the yacht is believed to be done by Philippe Starck. The yacht has everything from giant plasma screens to squash court, swimming pool and a health spa offering health and beauty treatments. The yacht is projected to be powered by four diesel engines, with each packing in more than 9000 hp and it also has sophisticated security weapons to deter any unwanted guests. The yacht is truly a dream-yacht for any yacht lover....what say!!!!!
