But if you thought it to be the most expensive coffee machine ever – just like us – then you haven’t heard about the Concordia Coffee Systems in Bellevue yet. The company claims that their Concordia Coffee Systems are instead the “most expensive espresso machine in the world” at about $10,000 to $40,000 apiece. Bellevue’s self-serve espresso bar grinds and brews coffee, steams milk and adds flavored syrups for a superior espresso drink, as per the customer’s preferences. And they can make espresso drinks and chai lattes, not just the drip coffee that used to come from self-serve coffee machines. Precisely, it makes 165 different drinks. “The idea is to replace other machines, not baristas. We don’t draw a leaf in the foam and dust it with chocolate,” said David Isett, CEO of Concordia Coffee Systems. The stylish contemporary kiosk with cherry cabinetry features Concordia’s Model 2500E automatic espresso machine. Fully self-contained, the espresso bar fits through a standard doorway and is fast and easy to set up — simply connect to power, water and a drain line. David says, “This new generation of espresso bar really is the ATM of specialty coffee.”
