The new range from Wisdom Audio is about to shatter the walls, leaving the floor untouched. The Sage series, dare I say, out of the box, in-wall speakers is sure to top-level the sound away from the audience’s view. Specifically designed for use behind perforated projection screens, L100i ($11,000) and C150i ($16,500) will be launched at the 2009 CEDIA Expo Atlanta (Sept. 10-13). The L100i incorporates a 50-inch tall planar magnetic line source for mid and high frequencies, along with one woofer array containing eight of Wisdom’s high operating pressure woofers. The C150i incorporates a 50-inch tall planar magnetic line source for mid and high frequencies, accompanied by two woofer arrays, each containing eight of Wisdom’s high operating pressure woofers for a total of sixteen woofers. It definitely sounds like wall shattering and have to be heard to be believed.
