e menu
Not those catchy, palate tempting lines or hoardings anymore but there is a new, call it interactive technology, which should make your taste buds salivating more than before for you would even have the option of not just getting lured by those meals but even ordering them there and then…welcome to the future! Other than the global warming making me realise that the last stint of future has arrived, a menu screen on my table with touch screen options enabling me to order a meal, really makes me belief that the time has surely arrived. The technology has gained rapid popularity in Europe, the US and Japan and if found satisfying, could become a phenomenon throughout. The aforementioned are not the first ones to put it to practice though. Conceptic, an Israeli start-up company has installed the e-menu options in pubs, their popular sushi bars and the family restaurants.

This is what Conceptic’s Chief Executive, Adi Chitayat quipped about the technology:

It’s about impulse-buying. If a person starts looking at pictures of chocolate cake, the chances are he’ll order it.

What’s more is the fact that the technology not only makes life easier for the consumer, it also ropes in more profit for the unit rendering the service. Secondly, the service is adored by the users because of the virtual meal feel, even when the order is being placed. The option though is only limited to diners and someone from Reuters dubs it as the last dice in the name of creative evolvement.

Yet, I differ: when this can be thought off, it can be bettered by having fast foods offering the same and if that happens and the end still looms, I would have it mentioned so that someone else tells us, what next to do.
