vertical limit
Yesterday, we told you about €50,000 Corkscrew…..now that doesn’t makes sense when you can get a vintage cellar for $70,000…another temptation hard to resist if you are a wine-lover with rich inheritance. Champagne house Veuve Clicquot has recently announced the launch of its latest innovation, Vertical Limit by Porsche Design. This standalone champagne cellar boasts avant garde design. The stunning design flaunts sleek stainless steel lines with some exceptional champagne into an ultra-exclusive collection. The ultimate wine cellar measure over 6 feet in height, and it holds 12 magnums of Veuve Clicquot vintages selected by four generations of master cellars. Only 15 of these units have been created and each handcrafted masterpiece is a result of three weeks of meticulous design work by the atelier at Porsche Design Studio.

Vertical Limit also features hand-soldered doors that reveal individually lighted and labeled shelves spotlighting the treasured Vintage housed within. The temperature remains a constant 12 degrees which is ideal for tasting and mirrors the exact climate in the Veuve Clicquot cellars in Reims, France. Vertical Limit will be available for purchase exclusively at fine luxury wine retailers Crush Wines in New York and Wally’s in Los Angeles. Each cellar, containing 12 Vintages will retail for approximately $70,000.
