With nearly every big and small electronics company introducing their own version of the home theater that do not differ from each other significantly, Yamaha’s latest YHT home theater series is perhaps a little different from the rest for incorporating nearly all visual and acoustic components to a home theater. Yamaha has introduced four models of its new updated YHT series of ‘home-theater-in-a-box’ – YHT-390, YHT-590, YHT-690 and YHT-790 that are priced differently depending on their varying technical features. YHT-690 and YHT-790 are the best in the series with a number of common features like XM and Sirius satellite radio receiving capability, neural surround system, component video up-conversion, onscreen display and automatic speaker calibration but YHT-790 priced at $850 is the most dynamic of the two running on 655W power. All the four models are packed with five satellite speakers, subwoofer, full size AV receiver, Dolby sound system and DTS surround modes for superior functionality of DVDs.
