Put a new spin on “time is money” by adorning your wrist with a Romain Jerome watch. Their creations are usually expensive but the new ones are outrageously so. We had earlier brought to you the $300,000 watch that merely differentiates between day and night rather than telling actual time. And it seems there are more from the designer that want to burn a large hole in your pocket. Bearing metals from the wreckage of the Titanic, the new creations were snapped up in moments of their going on sale. Each one of the nine watches (obviously limited edition) were picked up at prices so huge, they verge on vulgarity. And for watches that do not tell time, the tag seemed rather eccentric. Cabestan Tourbillon, by Jean François Ruchonnet, and Day&Night watch, both have a claim to fame of their exclusivity and great mechanical work. The Winch is made in six separate metals, each version for one of the oceans, with one dedicated to and named after the coordinates of Titanic’s shipwreck. Metallic makes and nautical decorations make these watches a pleasure to behold. Share this pleasure in the gallery after jump.
