thielnet audio systemA multiroom audio system is what every true audiophile would love to have inside his/her home. But, owning one is not everyone’s cup of tea owing to the stocky price tags attached to them. U.S. based high-end loudspeaker manufacturer THIEL Audio, in collaboration with BICOM, has taken the wraps off its new THIELnet Digital Multizone Audio System. The THIELnet IP-based audio distribution system promises to deliver high quality surround sound and stereo playback to virtually any location in the home. The entire system comprises of dB1 audio distribution processor, SCS4D IP based digitally powered high-performance full-range bookshelf loudspeaker, SSD1 subwoofers, dS1 IP based digital speaker module with built-in audiophile grade amplifier, and Streamer to stream audio from networked PC directly to the THIELnet system. THIELnet will be made available to consumers in either 5-channel or 2-channel packages that require only a source component to be fully functional. With the new system, you will be able to stream sound from a PC or audio system into eight different rooms at extremely long distances without any signal loss. Pricing is not announced, but we should expect it to pick on our pockets.
