Motor fans would definitely have heard about the mystery that surrounds The Stig. And if you have been wanting to know more about the mysterious and often elusive Stig, you may be curious to know that his number plate went on auction recently. The distinct number plate had “THE 571G” etched on it and if you look closely, you might be able to read ‘The Stig’ there. The Stig has been played by a number of people, and no one knows who the real driver is. London auto freak Rick Fusari, a “Top Gear” fan, bought the number plate at the cost of a little under $20,000 ($19,358 to be precise) making it one of the most expensive number plates. I’m sure a lot of you who are F1 fans would have died to get hold of the unique “Stig” number plate.

STIG is like a shortened version of the Pinoy word ”Astig” which means suave, smooth, and savvy.
