We have a horde of ruggedized notebook PCs in the market but we didn’t have a rugged Mac. Personally, I don’t find a strong reason why would one need a rugged Mac Mini but for those who wish to take their Mac Minis to tough places like Sahara, VictorSystems has designed a ruggedized Mac mini for military use. Nothing much to talk about the innards here, the rugged device comes enclosed in aircraft-grade aluminum that has been made from extruded rails with finned heat sinks to cool the components. The wrought plates act as the outer cover. Moreover, you can go for the ruggedized keyboard, mouse, display, printer, and speakers to match the toughness of your Mac Mini. They haven’t commented on pricing yet but I am pretty sure that the combat-ready Mac Mini won’t come cheap.
