The 16th Annual Celebrity Chair Auction event was held on November 30 in the grand ballroom of the Hilton Chicago. The auction featured chairs signed by celebrities including Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Kirstie Alley and Desperate Housewives chair signed by Terri Hatcher and James Denton. The collection also featured Andy Griffith chair which was constructed to look like his car, Kirk Douglas chair made of chains and leather and Tori Amos chair covered with butterflies resembling the cover of her new album.



More than 100 chairs were sold this year at the auction. Jay leno’s chair was among one of the top grosser with $1,700. Martha Stewart’s iron board chair sold for $500 and chairs signed by Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. fetched $200. The chair signed by the singer Margaret Truman, daughter of President Harry S. Truman and Chelsea Clinton sold for $260.2421
