105 million blackberry

What an alluring marketing campaign! To promote the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphone, Sprint and RIM have gone extreme and are advertising it as “the first $10.5 million cell phone - an exciting limited-time offer for billionaires.” The smartphone comes with an exotic island that asks for a staggering $10.5 million. It means the uber-rich out there will pay $199.99 for the handset and a whopping $10,499,800 for the island (Love that sense of humor!). The land is touted to be an exclusive gateway, miles away from the nearest populated land mass. As far as scenic beauty is concerned, the possible features include banks of exotic flora, white sand beaches and underwater caves.

Sounds quite funny, but the site asks for your six-digit BIN (Billionaire Identification Number) in order to purchase the island package directly from the website. Frankly speaking, I am all praise for the new marketing campaign. The thing that makes me laugh is that how many people will be walking into a Sprint store to ask about that Free Island deal. Well, if you are interested in the phone, it comes for mere $200 with a 2 year data plan agreement.
