Now, for $30,000, you could buy the Swans 2.3HT speakers, a 5.1 home theater system with each speaker capable of handling 1500 watts. Each of the towers boast 64 isodynamic ribbon tweeters and the manufacturer HiVi claim them to take you gently away to paradise. The whole set-up weighs 640 pounds and comes complete with two speakers up front, a center channel speaker, two surround speakers, and two subwoofers, tallying 165 drivers in all. The ultimate ribbon speaker system is apt for large villas, professional recording studios, screening theaters, or broadcast systems. But still, shelling out $30K is not a thing for an average Joe.
