While the domain name pizza.com went for a cool $2.6 million to an anonymous buyer, here is yet another domain name that is being up for grabs at a whopping $12 million. The pretty woman in the picture, Kendra Cook, is the very lucky millionaire owner of this domain name. She cites that internet domain names have most recently been recognized as serious investments for growth, commanding the multi-million dollar transactions that translate into an understanding of their intrinsic value as virtual real estate. This website has been operational for a long, at least by internet standards, 8 full years right from 1995 to 2003. In early days, it used to host an online lifestyle magazine along with many, make and build forums and enjoyed great traffic. And in a noble gesture, Kendra Cook wants to contribute her bit to charity and says that she will donate a part of the proceeds from the sale of SUV.com to charitable organizations like Red Cross and Habitat to Humanity. Way to go lady.
