
pictured above is 9th biggest supercomputer in the world dubbed MareNostrum. It also has the title of the world’s most gorgeous supercomputer in its booty. A property of Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the MareNostrum is polished on daily basis by hundreds of sycophantic graduation students.
Technically, it comprises 10,240 processing units, 20TB of RAM, and 280TB of disk storage. Its maximum computing performance of 94.21 teraflops (average of 62.63 teraflops) makes it the most powerful computer in Europe. The supercomputer is used in human genome research, protein research, weather forecasting and the design of new drugs. Check out some more shots after the jump.
