Around four months back, we were talking about the Steinway Lyngdorf’s Model-D, a $150,000 music system that packs a complete set of speakers and receiver flaunting Lyngdorf’s RoomPerfect automatic acoustic calibration system. Now, the company has selected Singapore as the first venue to launch the high-end audio system. The Model D is able to replicate the exact tone of one of Steinway’s beloved Model D grand pianos. Weighing almost half a ton, the speakers have been finished in the lustrous piano black lacquer. Less than 100 models of the Model-D will be made available at the launch.
