If you are offered two distinct functions in one form, I’m sure not a single urban soul will say no to it. Since space is believed to be the most sought after luxury these days, especially in over crowded metros and cities, Romanian designer, Andrei Bojor, has cooked up a concept that best suits our space-saving dilemmas. Dubbed as the SpaceSaver, it is a combination of a sink and a washing machine that is designed as a space saving device. Though the only green aspect about this SpaceSaver is that ‘fewer materials are needed to manufacture one object instead of two’, I would have given it more stars if it was devised to recycle the water used in the sink.

Here the form strictly follows the function as the sink is slightly asymmetrical (inclined towards the back-left corner) which allows the drainage to be placed slightly towards left which in turn is conducive from plumbing and installation point of view. Even the lateral panels of the body are detachable for the same reason.

And abiding by the ergonomical principles, the slightly consoled sink on top of the washing machine prevents the user to bend-over while using the sink. To sum it up in one sentence, SpaceSaver is an ideal solution for those people with limited space, and exhibits features and performance that you would expect from any best selling laundry appliances.
SpaceSaver lets you wash hands as it washes clothes

How come nobody thought of this before? It was screaming to be done!!
And yes, I agree they could have thought of adding a little water cleaning / recycling within the unit and I would have also give it 5 stars for innovation.
Hmmm... space saving technology has been doing the rounds for a while now. I dont know how useful a basin and a washing machine together will be, but considering the innovation, i will be willing to give it a shot. Most of all, it looks pretty cool
