reverb
Regen, a light from a consumer electronics start-up based in San Francisco, has earned its moment of glory with “Reverb,” a solar-powered iPod dock that can provide up to 12 hours of nonstop music on a full charge ( i.e. 20 hours of outdoor sun and 40 hours of indoor sun). But if you prefer loud volume, then it will last for 4.5 hours on a single charge. This stylish 35-inch iPod tower features a backlit LCD display and an integrated photovoltaic panel to generate power from the sun. The beautiful black exterior features a control panel on the top including mode selection in solar or electric. The system output is equivalent to a 60-watt conventional speaker system. Reverb will set you back $2,299. There’s a whole new line of personal solar-powered electronics, so check out their site for more.
