smokakota
It’s true what they say, one man’s misery is another man’s moolah! With the public smoking ban kicking in last July, smokers everywhere have been subjected to almost secondary citizen-like attitudes having to make-do with tents, sheds and other disgustingly temporary arrangements to quench their pangs for tobacco and nicotine. Grillikota Garden Buildings decided to rescue the ailing smoke-deprived masses with its SmokaKota, a cozy and comfortable smoking hub. Debuting at Hotelympia, the SmokaKota (Kota being Finnish for ‘house’) presents a practical and aesthetic enclosure which allows smokers to relax in a smoking shelter legislation-complaint environment. While the SaunaKota, Grillkikota and Hot Tub house from the firm are all fully enclosed, it is only the SmokKota that has open front and sides. The Smoka Kota is based on the Grillikota building but with the front panel, 2 side panels and door removed to make a luxurious and surprisingly cosy smoking shelter. The open area exceeds 50% of the wall area. The high-pitched roof helps in retaining heat from halogen heaters that keep the customer warm while a vent fitted in the chimney stack ensures ample supply of fresh air. The shelter can also be customized by fitting a BBQ grill and fixed wall benches that can accommodate up to 15 smokers. The SmokaKota comes for £3399 only.
