If you thought barbeques were nifty things which always needed someone to stand over and grill the munchies over, you couldn’t be further off target. Here is a barbeque design concept dubbed Voyage that takes a break from the mundane, a barbeque which comes with it’s own set of chairs for you and your buddies to sit on and enjoy the camp meal, with of course your share of banter and bonding, all when your muchies get grilled. Now, everybody sits around the BBQ and has a whale of a time, doing so with the new Voyage barbeque grid concept. This BBQ design concept, designed by the quartet of He Cheng, Lou Wanlan, Zhang Wenjun and Liao Hui has even won the Red Dot design awards. It is not the BBQ alone, the voyage packs in quite a punch with a range of other cooking hardware as well. A cupboard, dishwasher and a refrigerator are very welcome additions to the voyage BBQ’s arsenal of cook-kit, table and chair.

If you were smug and satisfied with all those pieces of BBQ kit as a single unit, we have some extreme BBQ engineering now. How about an iPod dock in the Voyage BBQ kit? That is one hell of a very serious design concept which strives to make your BBQ experience a wonderful one. And the conveniences continue with the chairs being foldable and which can also be hung on the table.
