We have seen a number TV lift cabinets before but this new next-generation LCD TV ‘POP UP’ from Sharp is the first off -the-shelf TV lift cabinet that would perfectly match our interiors. Sharp presented the POP-UP during CEATEC 2007. I am all praise for the sleek design of the system. When not in use, it automatically retracts into the cabinet to give protection against wear and tear. Measuring 20 x 29mm in thickness, the POP-UP weighs 25kg and touts a contrast ratio of 100,000:1. No idea on pricing yet, but I’m sure it will cost a fortune.
