decanter_HhYuV_1333Created by French sculptor Etienne Meneau, “No. 5″ and “No. 6″ are the latest pieces in a series exquisitely called ‘Strange Carafes.’ Filled with a bold red vintage, the delicate glass figures fork out and evoke a strange likeness to branches, roots and veins. The carafes are build on a theme established by carafes one through four and present a remarkably futuristic and clinical effect on the beholder having been made out of the same borosilicate glass that is used in beakers and test tubes. Though wine experts disagree on the relative merits and disadvantages of decantation, one really has to agree that these stunning carafes are an excellent way to display wines. And since the carafes were made only in a limited edition of eight each, you can well expect to shell out between 2,000 and 5,000 Euros for piece.
