Samsung has added yet another gorgeous LCD monitor to its Syncmaster range. The high-end 24-inch Syncmaster 245T LCD is aimed at pleasing both home theater users and home users shifting to larger displays. Other than the inclusion of an S-Video and HDMI unit, the new computer LCD enjoys a friendlier environment for playing game consoles and HD movie readers. Above all, it boasts some innovative technologies such as Motion Picture Acceleration to improve image quality and a picture-by-picture mode that supports multi-window applications by splitting the screen into two parts. Other salient specs include a 2W speaker system, a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,500:1 (1,000:1 static), 16.7 million colors, and a 6ms average pixel response time. The SyncMaster 245T has been let loose in Korea first for about $1,115 (that’s a pricey option). Pricing for other locations has not been disclosed.
