Yesterday, we told you about the first 70-inch LCD TV from some unknown telly maker that is being offered for retail in South Korea. Though, that still remains the first one to be offered for consumer market, but soon Samsung is going to takeover the HDTV market with their 70-inch Full HD LCD television that was launched by the company this morning in Korea. The 70-inch model features a 1080p resolution with a dynamic contrast ratio of 500,000:1. The LCD is also packed with some amazing features including Samsung’s local dimming LED backlighting technology that automatically turn off the LEDs in dark areas of the image which leads to the magical dynamic contrast ratio and it also it reduces the power consumption “by as much as 50%.” The LCD set will go on sale around the world during the second half of the year for a similar price of $63K.
