Saddam Hussein had a passion for the bling accessories, especially expensive watches, pens and sunglasses. Now, Haitham Wihaib, Saddam’s former right-hand man is selling gifts, which he claims the tyrant gave him in a bid to raise £350,000 for Iraqi schools. The long list includes a custom-made gold Rolex, with dozens of diamonds laid into the watch face and bracelet. Made of gold, diamonds and sapphire, this watch was worn by Saddam at all the special occasions such as banquets hosted by kings or heads of states during Arab summit conferences. The bidding for the gold Rolex watch starts at US $150,000. Other Saddam valuables up for auction include a Cartier pen ($5,000), Holy Koran ($8,000), Smoking pipe ($4,000), Specially-made shisha ($25,500), a walking cane ($3,500), and tyrant’s Christian Dior ties ($4,000 each). The price mentioned is the starting auction bid.
