Saab Unveils New BioPower Concept



Saab has unveiled its new BioPower concept at the Stockholm Motor Show today. Saab’s new eco-friendly version is the world’s first fossil-free hybrid vehicle with soft-top that delivers zero fossil CO2 emissions, enhanced performance and a range of energy-saving features. The roadster features 2.0-litre turbo BioPower engine and 53 kw electric motors that generates torque values three times greater than its petrol-only equivalent. The all-aluminum Saab 9-3 Convertible is expected to achieve zero to 100 km/h acceleration in just 6.9 seconds. The hybrid concept does not currently figure in the production plans.
