If you are thinking that this is a futuristic horse cart, then sorry to tell you that, like me, even you got it wrong. Though it does look like one at first glance, it is actually a specialty training system exclusively intended for race horses. Designed by Roush Technologies for Turkish-based Kurt Systems, this ingeniously planned machine gives a close-up view of the animal in motion to its trainers and veterinarians. It also allows them to continually monitor its vital signs at precisely controlled speeds from a walking pace all the way up to 60kph.

Fitted with an array of innovative and unique vehicle systems, as well as a diesel engine, automatic transmission, it also houses a spacious luxury cabin for a crew of three. Weighing in at around 4 tones, the vehicle effectively provides a moving enclosure similar to a starting stall, in which the animal can walk, trot or full gallop freely.
12-volt and 240-volt electrical power juices up computerized system that monitors heart, blood, oxygen and fitness levels. The unit also carries a range of precision hydraulically controlled accessories, such as a silicone saddle to simulate jockey weights. Also electronically controlled reins ensure that the horse is being steered in the same line as the vehicle at all times.
I’m sure this avant-garde training system for speeding animals isn’t meant for weak pockets.
