Whoa! The good news for the professional photographers is finally out. Well, the Red digital company, which was promising to revolutionize documentary and movie film making, has taken wraps off its RED One digital cinema camera.

Equipped with a powerful 11.4 megapixel sensor, the camera has the capability to capture up to 60 frames per second (double to that of existing high-end HD camcorders). The base unit can be further modded with a range of add-ons such as different rigs and lenses thereby leading to varied configurations. Initially 25 units will be let loose with each carrying a $17,500 price tag for the base system.
