Swarovski might be laying off hundreds of workers in the wake of the recession, nevertheless the crystals won’t lose their sheen at all, and will continue to glamorize everything and anything they are slapped onto. Hot spa retreat Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland has recently received a Swarovski face-lift. This is in fact the first time ever the iconic crystal-makers Swarovski have custom-made their glittering gems for a steam room, maybe to keep the spa allure intact. The sparkling steam room features over 300 individual crystals on the walls, which create an awe-inspiring effect with the colored lights. The spa spans 5,500 square meters, and offers a comprehensive range of beauty treatments and facilities, including aroma cabins, freshwater whirlpools and Roman baths. The new Swarovski steam room is now open and is located within To B. Wellbeing & Spa, and is complemented with a traditional Finnish Sauna, Kneipp Circuit and refreshing Ice Grotto.
