Whoa! That looks so tantalizing. This amazing yacht dubbed Levi Ram Wing 100 (RW 100), which starts as a catamaran and ends as a monohull, has been designed by Martin Levi from Design Studio Levi. The luxury yacht is being said to achieve a range of 2000 nautical miles at 100 knots and 2800 nautical miles at 50 knots. Taking a look at the make, the vessel touts a Reverse Tricycle Geometry. It is now generally accepted, that for fast offshore work in rough conditions, a mono hull is superior to a conventional twin hull catamaran. On the other hand, there is no argument about the greater speed potential of the catamaran over the mono hull due to the aerodynamic lift created in the tunnel, which in turn reduces the wetted area resistance of the hulls. The shape of the RW 100 is quite logical. When it gets fast, the air it generates enters the space between the two hulls and since there is an obstruction at the end, the air lifts the boat, thereby reducing wetted area resistance and increasing the speed.
The lavish amenities include a tender dock, a submarine, a motorcycle and car garage, and an under cover deck will host twin helipad, swimming pool and relaxing areas. Levi has already designed the Virgin Atlantic Challenger II for Richard Branson. So, we can certainly expect the RW 100 to be stunning in every sense. The yacht is featured in the latest issue of Boat International magazine, which publish design trends for the year to come at the end of the running year.
