Planning to give your family some unique gift this Christmas? Why not take them to the luxurious journey? Extending the proud tradition of providing the luxury cruise, Cunard Line has launched its much anticipated £300 million Queen Victoria.

Claimed to be the most luxurious cruise ever, Queen Victoria - comprising 18 decks, 7 restaurants, three swimming pools, 4,000 sq ft of shops, a casino, 830-seat theatre and 6,000-book library - the ship weighs 90,000 tons ship and can carry 2,000 passengers at up to 23.7 knots in a single go. The grandest suites and 24-hour butler service will cost £210,000.

Escorted by tugs throwing water high into the air, to berth alongside City Cruise Terminal in the western docks, Queen Victoria made her way up Southampton Water and will hold the royal naming ceremony, a giant firework display with a spoof fair and entertainment on the city’s waterfront as a part of the five day celebration to mark its entry into the service. The giant ship will start its inaugural ten-day cruise around northern Europe next week and will meet its two sister vessels (QE2 and QM2) in New York next month.
