From Elvis memorabilia collectors to those who stock up on collectibles from your favorite TV show or movie, the whole mystique of owning these objects is to have a peice of history which is tangible, making these objects real - rather than something you just hear about. The Pugliese Pop Culture Auction at Palms Casino Resort in Vegas is putting more than 850 pieces of pop culture items and oddities (including the pictured plaster lifecast of Sir Alfred Hitchcock) on the selling block. You can scoop up some of these items, including much more:
* JFK’s humidor, complete with 25 of his unopened cigars ($25,000-$30,000)
* The gun that Jack Ruby used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald ($TBD)
* Michael J. Fox’s Back To The Future Jacket ($4,000-$6,000)
* Christopher Reeve’s Superman Costume ($60,000-$90,000)
* Marlon Brando’s overcoat from The Godfather ($15,000-$20,000)
* Al Pacino’s machine gun from Scarface ($TBD)
If you can’t make it to Vegas for the show, you can even make a bid online here. All proceeds go towards the erection of a current project which will build the nation’s largest eco-sustainable community in Florida.
