Every time “Bata” (Efren Reyes) misses out on a stroke and flashes his cue in a characteristic style, I cannot move my eyes from that stick, for it’s brilliant, eventually keeping me guessing about its maker’s name. The trivia for me is sort of over, as it could be Predator rendering those brilliant cues for “the magician” and his kind. The next time I see Reyes playing on TV, it could be a confirmation for me if the cue has a unique pattern adorning diamond inspired designing cuts through the stick. The latest limited edition from Predator is not just elusive for that designing but, also the use of ebony with Micarta inlaid throughout.

The heavy weight of the wood has been finessed to a level that the cue only weighs 19 ounces. Cues with tulip inlays hail from the fire category, while the turquoise makes for the ice category, together being named the “fire and ice” edition. Each of these limited edition cues would be numbered, so let us try guessing the number “one” owner, it is definitely Bata for me; the others would obviously get it for $2,500.
