The new WACS 7000 streamium wireless music system from Philips, which made its debut at IFA 2006 is due this November. The wireless music system flaunts a sleek wall-mountable design and it features built-in stereo speakers, a 40-watt per channel amp, a CD player and an expanded 80GB hard drive for local storage of up to 1500 CDs. You can stream records from your PC’s music collection or can record direct from CD and track information is automatically added from online track database. The wireless music system allows you to control and access thousands of songs at no less than five music stations throughout their home without creating wiry mess. The wireless unit displays the track information on a small light-on-dark LCD on the front of the unit. The media center is compatible with MP3, WMA and PCM file formats. The base station is expected to retail for around $1268, with remote stations at appx. $379 each.
