And, after a decade, Philips is yet again flashing its high standards with the demonstration of a 100-inch Ambilight HD FlatTV at IFA 2006, Berlin. The 100-inch LCD TV with Ambilight will give a transformational dimension to watching TV, creating a unique viewing experience through a remarkable technique which projects ambient light on all four sides of the set to merge with the images being displayed on the television’s screen to reduce eyestrain and create a gentle viewing experience. The HDTV launch will be coincided with its first range of Blu-ray Disc products along with 300 other HD-ready FlatTV sets.
