c leg

The commercialization of prosthetic devices seems to have caught the pace as after the revolutionary i-LIMB bionic hand going up for sale, German company Otto Bock has let loose a new version of its C-Leg. The revived version is sleeker, stronger and more functional than the former one. Designed for US armed forces, the C-Leg features a microprocessor controlled knee that adjusts the hydraulic systems in relation to the activity being carried out. A wireless remote is there, which will help you to switch between the offered modes. It is best suited for knee-disarticulation, transfemoral, hip-disarticulation, and hemipelvectomy amputees. But, having a leg better than the real one won’t come cheap for sure. It will set you back somewhere between $30,000 and $40,000.
