Marc Newson, an Australian born innovative designer, selected as one of ‘Time‘ magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2005, is again in news for his Lockheed Lounge chaise. It is at the Christie’s waiting to be auctioned off for a whopping $2.4 million!
The auction block has sold off various items worth millions, but this item is the most expensive work by any living designer to be displayed for a bidding. Newson has strangely broken his own record this time! Previously it was a cabinet to go off for a million sometime back in may, and now he has come out with the lounge. Some people love to compete with themselves!
This cool metal beauty is waiting for an affluent buyer to pick it up! Hey! on second thoughts, does it have any heating arrangement for the winters. Just kidding... It looks gorgeous and I wouldn’t mind lounging on it, so wouldn’t you, I guess!
