The $4 million rugby ball on the Eiffel Tower’s front lawn is going to be the center of attraction for all the visitors coming to see the Rugby World Cup this year. Planned by Tourism New Zealand, this giant ball will be open to all comers for nearly $10,000 a night when not in use.

The inflatable ball-shaped 100% Pure New Zealand pavilion will be opened on the Champ de Mars at the base of the Eiffel Tower on October 5. The rugby ball house will take care of the geeks’ needs as it will feature state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, a bar and catering facilities.

New Zealand hopes to regain more than $100,000 on its investment. Prime Minister Helen Clark cited:

The eye-catching venue - in the shape of a giant rugby ball in central Paris enables us to showcase New Zealand’s world-class talent for innovation and creativity.

Over 40,000 people are expected to experience a virtual New Zealand when they visit the venue while in Paris. If you are looking for a cool place to party, the giant inflatable rugby ball is the just right venue.
