A few days back I heard this crazy rumor that Apple was all set to release the iPod Shuffle for a measly $49. But just in case you like your gizmos to show how hard you your father works, then this $400 iPod dock from Meridian should definitely be on your list. Named the i80, the universal dock for the iPod can apparently processes the files from the iPod to enhance music sound (for that kinda price it bloody hell should too!). The magical gizmo also allows you to control the iPod with a remote or front panel buttons and view song information on its OLED screen. And when you see the famed F80 radio and the i80 together, you will smile for sure. But then, the price tag looks bit unacceptable to me. Since it costs a cool $400, I’m a little disappointed it doesn’t come with a built-in beer cooler!
