We have come across a hell lot of gold-plated gizmos but Kenwood’s new 60GB, HD60GD9EC Keg audio player is a new spin on the idea of gold plating. Instead of giving golden finish to the exteriors, the audio player has a gold plated internal chassis. The gold plating helps connection with the chassis and the circuit baseplate become firmer. The Media Keg series players have already been acclaimed for their superior sound quality. The new Music Keg supports MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, and the company’s own Kenwood Lossless standard. The HD60GD9EC is due to hit Japanese shelves by early October for little over US $500.
