If you are a true wine enthusiast then you must have known about eSommelier (i.e), the touchscreen residential wine management server designed by Media Access Solutions. The wine management server comes with a pre-loaded database which includes over 150,000 wines. And, all the information on it can be accessed with ease on its 15-inch touchscreen LCD.
Now, the company is touting some recent developments that will make it even more helpful for the wine lovers with features like when users pull up a particular bottle they can now view content about the wine supplied by Robert Parker, the “independent consumer’s guide to fine wines.” Though, the user will still have the facility to enter their own notes about particular bottles.
The eSommelier system can now pull up bottles labels as identifiers by searching Google Images, just the way you like it. The company is also working on a new interface that will allow users to scroll through a screen filled with their collection labels. So, if you own a large wine cellar, it’s even more important for you, to manage your inventory properly, listing wines by vintage, country, winery and vintage on its easy to use computerized interface that is easily accessible via Ethernet port from anywhere in the world. The older version sells for $5,000. No word is available on whether the updated version will carry an updated price tag as well! But, this will make a perfect Christmas gift for wine aficionados!

I distribute these in Canada so I’ve worked with them first hand. It does go out searching for label art. Save for today’s clunkiness of google images (ie: Mouton Rothschild search may be a guy drinking Mouton instead of label art) it’s pretty good. Best one on the market for sure.
Nice product, what happen with it now?
