At Nemomatic, nearly every piece is made entirely from found materials. Sculptor Nemo Gould has been creating his signature style of kinetic metal and found object sculpture for over 20 years. He is offering his select works for sale, while most of his creations are unavailable. One of his recent works is Alcohologram, a vintage TV set that has been made of television set, cork screws, asian lamp, velvet, player piano parts, xerox machine motor, coffee table, and lights. Another interesting work on sale is Eureka, which Gould thinks of as moment of discovery. The materials used in the making are record player, honda engine, dark room timer, wall clock, motor, photo enlarger, gear motor, halogen lights, vinyl, door bell housing, typewriter balls, and LED lights. Two interesting works from the year 2006 are the Re:Cycle and the Giant Squid. The Re:Cycle has been created from baseball bats, circular saw blade, wheel chair wheels, parts from: railings, a meat grinder, vacuum cleaners, an industrial cooking pot, and child’s bicycle. The one I liked the most is the steampunk-like Giant Squid. You will have to contact Gould for pricing of the available pieces and I am sure they aren’t cheap by any means. Check out many more on the site.
